This post is super short today. I’m (Kasey) moving tomorrow! Moving is overwhelming, as fun and exciting as it is. But I made this smoothie last week and had to photograph it and write it down because it was so darn good. Sometimes, the combos you make just turn out amazing, and this is definitely one of them.
I called it the Pink Dream Smoothie, first, because it’s a gorgeous pink color. Second, because it’s a collagen booster which is great for hair, skin, and nails and it is also loaded with antioxidants which help fight free radical damage (cancer cells).
2 CUPS STRAWBERRIES
1//2 PACKAGE FROZEN RASPBERRIES
1/3 PACKAGE FROZEN BLUEBERRIES
1/3 CAN CRUSHED PINEAPPLE
1/3 CAN COCONUT MILK
1/ TSP MORINGA OR OTHER FAVORITE GREEN SUPERFOOD
3 TBSP COLLAGEN
3 CUPS WATER
Blend on high in a high powered blender like a Vitamix, until smooth and creamy. Serves 4.
Strawberries: Strawberries are loaded with antioxidants, in fact, 30% of their antioxidant load is vitamin C! Which we know reduces systemic inflammation and provides our skin with a healthy dose of love. Another amazing benefit is that strawberries have a 10% of your daily intake of folate making them great for nervous and mental health.
Blueberries: Blueberries are awesome for brain and cognitive function. Blueberries have cardiovascular benefits and blood sugar benefits as well due to their high antioxidant load (which gives the berries their deep, purple/blue color).
