EASY Natural and Non-Toxic Cleaning

Over the last 10 years I have cleaned my house with *only* vinegar about 98% of the time. When I started down my natural living path, chemical cleaners were one of the first things to go.  If you haven’t already gotten ridden of them in your house, NOW IS YOUR CHANCE. THROW THEM OUT AND NEVER LOOK BOOK BACK! You don’t need ’em! You only need a couple if inexpensive kitchen staples to keep your entire house clean.

Traditional cleaning products are loaded with toxic chemicals that we shouldn’t be touching OR breathing in. Have you ever read some of those hazard labels? Yikes! Those products shouldn’t be handled daily, be around our kids or place of eating.

White vinegar is an amazing cleaning agent. It has some disinfecting, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. It can be used to clean counter tops, glass, mirrors, floors, bathrooms… you name it. It also pairs really well with baking soda for some extra scrubbing power. Both pantry staples are cheap and go a long way.

I keep a spray bottle of vinegar underneath my kitchen sink for everyday clean ups in the kitchen and around the house. If something like the bathtub or stove top needs to be scrubbed, that’s generally when I sprinkle in a little baking soda. Goodbye nasty tub rings!

All you need is a spray bottle, some vinegar and some water. When you prepare your bottle of vinegar you will use a ratio of 1/2 vinegar 1/2 water and if you want to get a little fancy you can even throw in a few drops of lemon essential oil! This helps cut out a little bit of that sour vinegar smell and brings in a little of that heavenly lemon scent.

When you are adding in baking soda. All you need to do is sprinkle some (I’d say liberally) on the surface you are working with then spray vinegar to create that magic fizz.

Have fun cleaning!
