This blog post is going to be short and sweet because this recipe is short and sweet. Sometimes we need things in our arsenal that are quick and easy to whip up during a busy afternoon or on the go, without having to think much about it. This is a perfect no fuss smoothie recipe.
It only takes five ingredients and they are all pretty basic things that I usually have on hand: a banana, frozen strawberries, almond milk, coconut cream and hemp seeds.
When you are craving something sweet and creamy, sometimes the right smoothie can totally hit the spot. Sometimes a chocolate banana smoothie can give you that chocolate fix and sometimes a creamy smoothie like this, can give you that “I need a milkshake or something anything creamy right now” fix. Or maybe just that afternoon treat.
This recipe is so easy and delicious that it has the seal of approval from all of the kiddos in my house.
Creamy Strawberry Banana Coconut Smoothie
(Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegan)
2 CUPS OF FROZEN STRAWBERRIES
1 CUP OF ALMOND MILK (OR OTHER MILK ALTERNATIVE)
1/4 CUP OF COCONUT CREAM (FROM THE CAN)
2 TBSP OF HEMP SEEDS
Blend all of the ingredients together in a blender. Serve and Enjoy!
Coconut Cream: Coconut cream is so versatile and good for you! Not to mention its absolutely delicious. Its full of those healthy saturated good fats. It can be used in so many recipes as a cream alternative and even whipped up into a fluffy whipped cream. If you dont already, try keeping a few cans (BPA free) in your pantry to test out in some new recipes.
